Reception
of Grace 103.7 -
Signal strength is determined by your
distance from North Canton, type radio used,
terrain and weather
conditions. It varies from day-to-day and community to
community.
Automobile Reception
-
Most car radios are better than home receivers; the motion of a car tends to
"smooth out" the signal. With a good car radio, WPCG-LP can be
heard as far away as the Cobb
and Pickens county lines on I-575 (and to Milton on 140), with significant
interference from other stations .
Home Reception
- Home FM radio receivers vary greatly in
quality. All require an antenna; the simplest is a wire attached to the
back of the radio. Improved reception can be achieved by attaching a TV
"rabbit ears" antenna. The location of the antenna is critical;
moving the antenna a few inches can be important. A good radio located
near a second-story window provides far superior reception to a
"boom-box" in a basement room.
The "ultimate" antenna is one located
in your attic or on your roof. It can be purchased from an electronics
store such as Radio Shack.
